Long time, no update
It's been a while since I updated this but now I've been working on a few projects. I've got to make a character and animate it and model for our new space rts.

Rigging
Today we learned how to do some rigging. It was a first for me and I'm looking forward to applying what I've learned today to my character models and future models I intend to make.
We learned how to place skeleton joint nodes and join them up. Then we learned how to take those joints and make a IK handle out of them to make them easy to move. This is a great first step in making a rigged character for my animation.

More progress on the ships
I've made progress with this battleship. It's come quite a way, in fact I started it again. I'm much more happy with this model and I even finished the turret models. So I'm pleased with how it came out. It still needs a small bit of work and then I will make my first attempt on texturing it.
Hopefully it will go well.

New RTS project
Turns out we love RTS, so we're making another. This time its for our final year project and needs to be a more complete and functional game. Speaking of which our lecturers loved Earth at war and want us to turn it into a RTS game kit for the torque engine which is amazing news! We'll be on that and we're sure to get it done soon.
Back to our new project, we've decided it'll be a space RTS so think homeworld for now. We're still sorting out our ideas but we've made sure to get started on designs and models. Here are some of mine.

Earth at War: RTS prototype
So we finally handed in our game a few weeks back and I got around to uploading it on to my website.

Its abut 90MB and needs to be installed before it will run in the browser but you should be able to run it locally as well. Have fun, that's half a years work from our group. Character models and the plane are mine, and a bit of the code.

Tyran alien model done
This is the Tyran I modeled and Textured for our RTS. Just like with the Human GI model. It is essentially a modified human model. It's design is a bit basic but I'm happy with it. Our game is nearly completed. It's close to prototype stage.
